Star of Ru Paul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 2 with the most memorable of entrances, Faux Fur has a natural on-screen demeanor that is simply unmatched. Faux is a fierce, sexy and delectable dancing Queen known for slaying the stage with fire and passion or tapping into the raw emotions of a ballade that brings the audience to silence and tears. Few Queens in Sydney can rival the presence on stage of Faux Fur. Faux is a Queen with the biggest of hearts that aims to touch and uplift others in all she does.
There’s nothing fake about Faux Fur - except maybe those womanly curves.
Faux Fur started out as a boy Gogo Dancer in the clubs at a young age (perhaps even before it was legal). Yet it was that moment when she saw her first drag show she knew her GoGo days were over, and Faux was born - since then, under the guidance of mother Kay Daver and Aunties Charisma Belle and Carmen Geddit, Faux has blossomed into the Queen she is today, oozing elegance and unbridaled sex appeal in every move.
Faux has been a regular face, and the loudest voice, in the Sydney Drag scene for 7 years, building a large and loyal following and always giving the audience a performance to scream for.
Whether slaying the stage with her unique fire and passion in a popular dance hit or tapping into the raw emotions of a ballade that brings the audience to silence and tears, few Queens in Sydney can rival the presence on stage of Faux
When the audience hears her scream echo out through the venue they know to get to the front of the stage as it will be a show they dont want to miss.
Faux has always been proud of her Asian heritage and noted the lack of Asian Queens in the Sydney scene. With this in mind, 2 years ago she started her popular weekly IGTV show Faux Mondays, a platform where she strived to give not only other Queens but all members of the Queer and POC Queer community a voice to share their story, in the hope of inspiring others.
Faux Mondays has since evolved to be a monthly feature of Faux TV, Fauxs own self produced social media TV show whose topics know no boundaries and where nothing is Taboo.
In her words “One day I WILL be our communities’ Oprah, with a TV show of my own, so I can help our voices to be heard further and wider”.
Whether hosting an awards night as emcee, delivering another hilarious episode of Faux Mondays or simply “killing it” on stage, Faux is a Queen with the biggest of hearts that aims to touch and uplift others in all she does
